Selected Images from Oceanic Cruises
Cruising on large ships is a great way to see the world. You need only unpack once and then sit back, be fed, be entertained, be educated, and be taken to several quite different ports of call within a span of one or two weeks. In this fashion, I was introduced to the Caribbean islands in 2002, Alaska in 2003, the Mediterranean countries and the Mexican Riviera in 2005, and the Baltic countries in 2013.
Cruising on large ships is also a wonderful way to just get away from it all and be yourself. You will notice that I have been on many Caribbean cruises. As a result, I am quite familiar with most Caribbean ports of call. I have favorite things to do in each port, but I also like to try one or two new things each cruise. I also like, at times, to do nothing at all. While all the other passengers are off on port excursions, having all the large ship’s amenities to myself is really quite relaxing.
