  • Mendenhall Glacier [0:16:19] : This video is a compilation of stills and videos taken on two separate visits to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center outside Juneau, Alaska. The visits were one week apart, July 25 and August 1, 2015.

  • Mendenhall Slideshow [0:00:25] : This slideshow contains images of Mendenhall Glacier outside Juneau, Alaska, which were taken on two visits just six days apart in 2015.

  • Petersburg, Alaska, 2015 [0:20:44] : As with Juneau and Tracy Arm, on this trip, I stopped twice in Petersburg, the "Little Norway" of Southeast Alaska. Images from both visits are incorporated into this video. The first visit, on July 26th, was for a full day, so there was time to take a hike across an Alaskan muskeg (peat bog) in the afternoon. The second visit, on August 3rd, was for only the morning, after which we headed south to Wrangell through the Wrangell Narrows, which start at Petersburg.

  • Petersburg Slideshow [0:00:25] : This slideshow contains images of Petersburg, Alaska taken on two visits just eight days apart.

Most of these images appear in my Petersburg video Images have been added to replace the video clips in that video.

  • Tracy Arm, Alaska, 2015 [0:13:26] : This video contains images of Tracy Arm taken on two separate occasions just six days apart. On the first visit it was cold and rainy the whole day. Visibility was poor, but we did get to visit both the Sawyer and South Sawyer Glaciers. On the second visit it was bright and sunny, with good visibility, but there was too much ice between Sawyer Island and South Sawyer Glacier for us to venture down that part of the Arm.

Although I hadn't planned it that way, there were many features of the fjord that were photographed on both visits from almost the same vantage point. I have placed these side-by-side in this video.

I was not able to find names for most of the valleys and waterfalls that line both sides of the Tracy Arm fjord, so, in the comments, I have just made up some names to simplify identification of the same objects in different images.(!)
